The 52nd annual Cowan Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Railcar (formerly Cookie’s Corner) and proceeding down Cumberland Street through the downtown area to end at Cowan Elementary School.

“The parade committee invites you to come out and share in the fun and excitement of the annual Christmas parade in beautiful Cowan, Tennessee. The parade with its marching bands, colorful floats, and the Shriner’s Tin Lizzie Unit marks the official start of the Cowan holiday season.”
The deadline for submitting parade entry forms is Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12:00 noon.
For the last 50+ years, as many as 5,000 Franklin Countians and visitors from surrounding areas have enjoyed the parade and we look forward to another wonderful parade for 2016.
We are once again sponsoring the “Cowan Christmas Market” at Monterey Station on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3. Booth spaces will feature multiple vendors with a wide variety of products, including food booths. We invite everyone to visit the market and get some of your Christmas shopping done. Booths will be open for business from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2. In addition, we will offer free photos with Santa (Friday night only), entertainment, and other activities for your enjoyment during the evening. Saturday hours for vendors will be from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Saturday after the parade, there will be a meet and greet with the Grand Marshal, Jennifer Austin at the Christmas Market.
